The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors rejected a request for a continuance and voted to deny the BNSF Comprehensive Plan Amendment. The amendment would have corrected a mapping error and changed the designation for a small portion of BNSF’s 4,321 acres from Single Family Rural to Mixed Use Employment. Most of BNSF’s property already has a Mixed Use Employment designation, which aligns with BNSF’s companion rezoning request.
